History

Souls Harbour Church of MayodanSouls’ Harbour Church started out as an outreach ministry of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Eden, NC in may of 1999. The name of the organization was first named Truth Outreach Center. Marty Roberts was the founding Pastor. By July of 1999 it flourished to the point of going beyond an outreach and began to be a separate entity. In the first four years we baptized 40+ people in the name of Jesus Christ and also had 40+ receive the baptism of the Spirit! The church was built on prayer, fasting and seeking God for a move of his Spirit in the heart and lives of the people in the Madison and Mayodan North Carolina area. Pastor Marty Roberts resigned the church in the summer of 2007 after 8 years of ministry and started attending New Life Tabernacle in Kernersville, NC pastored by Rev. Ronnie Ingle for nearly 6 years. Marty Roberts then became the Assistant Pastor to NLT UPC.

Bro. Larry Noah a founding member of the church later became the Pastor! Bro. Noah pastored Souls’ Harbour Church for 2 1/2 years. Bro. Noah baptized 33 people in his tenure of Pastor and had several pray some through to the Holy Ghost. Under his ministry the church has a Harvest Bank where they give food to needy families once a month! Also have purchased a modular building which is used for Sunday school classes and fellowship area. In May of 2013 Pastor Larry Noah resigned the church and asked Rev. Marty Roberts Assistant Pastor at New Life Tabernacle to come and be the interim Pastor until a Pastor could be elected. Pastor Ingle of New Life Tabernacle in Kernersville quickly released his Assistant Pastor to help the church on the interim having a heart for a United Pentecostal Church in Rockingham County. On June 2nd 2013 the former Founding Pastor Marty Roberts was voted in as Pastor by a unanimous vote! We are forging ahead with revival and growth!
